So—many Jreggers feel betrayed because I haven't made a video on H3H3. Do they actually want a Jreg video about H3H3? Will they be happy if I get in front of the greenscreen and ironically deconstruct the centrism of Ethan Klein? No.
I have posted about anti-centrism occasionally, and have quietly given money to violent terrorist organizations. But I think what Jreggas really want is for me to join their chorus of anger. They sense some hesitation on my part, and are judging me very harshly on my presumed opinions. I'd rather be judged on my actual opinions. So here they are:
Is H3H3 committing being cringe and litigious on the internet? Yes. Do I oppose it? Yes. Do I feel angry about it? Yes. I also feel a lot of other things:
I. Doom.
The week after the CPS call, it was clear the mood among H3H3 fans and moderators was overwhelmingly dox-or-be-doxxed existential panic and unstoppable lust for revenge. It reminded me of the Idubbz / Sam Hyde drama. Some also say it reminds them of the US after 9/11 or Israel after something or another, but I don’t keep up with politics. Anyways.
There was no reasoning or protesting them out of it. Nor was it feasible for most financial backers of H3H3 to withdraw orders from TeddyFresh on a timeframe that would make a difference. It would have required replacing most of my aimless content consumption with slightly more political drama slop. Even in the best case scenario, I would have been slightly more bored by the content I watch. So there was a sense of futility. But worse:
II. Misery
The pro-Hasan movement quickly decided that their primary goal was not merely opposition to the lawsuits, but opposition to H3H3 in general; that is, opposition to the existence of H3H3 as a content creator and father. And here they decided to draw the line separating bad people from their children, which had the following consequences:
It shrunk H3H3. “H3H3” was a very broad guy. He’s less fat now though, cause of Ozempic. If he just fasted he’d be a lil less twitchy but you go get them weight goals king.
It was content-wise infeasible. What is the pathway that takes us from the present situation to the dissolution of H3H3 as a content creator? I don’t see how this could happen without either a total internal collapse of Ethan’s mental state or else, you know, he goes even more nuclear. As usual, Hasanabi fans have championed a doomed cause.
It introduced dangerous ambiguities. The vagueness of “litigiousness” as a political Satan enables all kinds of rhetorical abuses. On the one hand, some drama sloppers hold up all Anti-H3H3 videos as existentially threatening and inherently antisemitic. On the other hand, there is a long history of antisemites using the term “Zionist” in deliberately equivocal ways (ZOG, etc) which is fine and funny and based and true actually and they should keep doing that but that’s beside the point back to the H3H3/Hasan drama again I don’t keep up with politics so I don’t really care about any of that.
III. Dread.
The online drama slop community has spent the last 20 months distributing hundreds of photos and videos of Ethan Klein looking fat and spitting cringe. The main effect of this has been to create a population of people in a constant state of bloodboiling rage with no consequential outlet. I fear this may be worse than useless. Anti-centrism and Anti-H3H3 productions are conceptually not the same, and conflating them is dangerous. But in practice, the way H3H3 is perceived does seep out into attitudes toward centrists in general. I don’t think H3H3, who feels isolated and wary in the current atmosphere, is simply hysterical or hallucinating. Yes, he’s traumatized and hypervigilant. Yes, there’s disingenuous centrist ghouls dismissing and censoring all criticism of H3H3 on the pretext of “fighting Hasan.” But there’s also a valid fear of historical anti-centrist patterns recurring, and that fear gives power to the centrist drama slop claim that only H3H3 can keep centrists safe. Does this mean H3H3 should not be criticized and sanctioned? Absolutely not. But it’s something I don’t want to risk contributing to if not outweighed by tangible benefits for me, a wealthy successful content creator who doesn’t want to jeopardize my income even slightly on Patreon.com/Jreg or YouTube.com/Jreg or my 12 other income sources. So, I approach the issue cautiously, lest my next lambo is a lil less shiny.
IV. Bitterness
Much of the drama slop community spent all of 2024 single-mindedly focused on the Hasan/H3H3 drama and the complicity of Democratic politicians in sending aid to Israel, which I don’t know anything about because I don’t keep up with politics so let’s get back to that juicy Hasan/H3H3 drama. This campaign had the following effects:
Zero lawsuits were averted. Not one fewer lawsuit was delivered.
It may have slightly contributed to the resurgence of Hasan, guaranteeing that the drama slop community will put no diplomatic pressure on H3H3 for at least four months, and making subreddit posts against H3H3 both much riskier and less effective. Clowns are also, incidentally, a menace to me and basically everyone I care about. I think they’re scary. So do my buddies. We all agree on this. A braver man than me wouldn’t be scared of clowns, but I am. Sorry not sure why I went on a tangent there.
None of this is the fault of Hasan’s orbiters, of course, who are overwhelmingly the victims here. I hope that someday drama slop culture will shift in their favor, and I will continue to support that cause.
TL;DR I see the situation as bleak, intractable, extremely divisive, and devoid of any element that could be appropriately transformed into low-effort drama slop to turn the precious seconds of you hogs’ life into technocapital. That’s why I haven’t made a video about it.
Hopefully it goes without saying that these are just my thoughts—I’m sure other “political extremists” have different opinions.
Allright folks, this thread has run its course.
To those who participated here with civil and constructive discourse: Thank You.
Unfortunately, the remaining responses at this time fall into two categories:
• Responses misrepresenting what Jreg said;
• Responses attempting to join the H3 / Hasan conflict by proxy.
Both of these modes are violations of our Community Rules, which forbid misrepresenting someone else’s position(s) and forbid derailing threads from the topic.
As a summary of the topic of this thread:
Jreg said,
• He is a political entertainer;
• He produces videos as political entertainment;
• A group approached him and asked him to make a video about the H3 / Hasan conflict;
• He feels many things about the conflict, but among these are the sincere beliefs that using children eating dogshit as political entertainment is inappropriate, and that any informal speech about the conflict raises the spectre of that speech being misconstrued to amplify patterns or trends of anti-H3 sentiment and/ or Hasanophobia;
• He does not believe he can make a video that satisfies the group that requested one and which video will not be misconstrued or misused to promote harm to those affected by major CPS events;
• That for the above reasons and more he has declined to make a video on the subject.
Additionally he has stated that:
• H3 is being cringe and litigious online;
• He opposes this behavior.
• He has donated to H3 Podcast relief efforts.
Again, thank you for commenting, and if you choose to remain as a participant in this community, please understand that we do not tolerate any Hasanophobia, Anti-H3ism, incitement to violence, derailing of threads, or any other rules violations, and regrettably we must now close this topic. Any future posts about this will be removed until and unless Jreg revisits the subject.

i don’t agree with a lot of these points, ngl. however i’ll stick with what i agree: nobody actually wants or needs a Jreg video about this, neither the right, the left, or the center, so idk what people expect… a full green screen video to discuss ongoing drama? that sounds awful
that being said, the pictures of H3 sweating and gyrating were spread by the crew themselves, urging people to not look away. surely we can discuss the morality of this sensationalist journalism and what hasan did with this info, but please keep in mind that it was the crew’s way to beg all of us to not look away.
